Yesterday in the mail I received a regular notice in the mail that Virginia's live racing opens next week. What was REALL SURPRISING was in the envelop there was an insert which said Coming Soon : Wager for the comfort of your home via computer or phone. Betting all your favorite races from AROUND the COUNTRY just got a whole lot easier!

Colonial Downs is a beautiful race track. It's too bad it's in the middle of nowhere and the owner's put on such a limited schedule that it will never be very successful with live racing. I can never understand of all the places in Va. to put a track, they decided on New Kent.

It was politics --Virgina Beach area would have been GREAT ---But along story.

What I want to find out about is Va Online Wagering!!!
Now THAT IS SOMETHING TO BE EXCITED ABOUT.

I was told today, that it will be through The Racing Channel. A contract has been signed he said but would not begin until later in the summer.

I don't know about that. Aren't they near Philadelphia? I was hoping it would be a Virginia deal. Do they even have have streaming video. Little disappointed--but better than nothing.

we can can go on the potomac river aka 'colonial beach" and get simulcast..

hurricane isabel wiped the the town out but,
evidentlly we are close to opening up again.

huge loss with the hurricane !!!!!!
